Meet Andy Willis

Andy WillisAndy Willis

I am a man of few words. To sum it up – I am a big game hunting guide.  I have done a lot of different jobs over the years. Hunting guide, fishing guide, sled dog tour operator/guide, Iditarod race logistics coordinator, boat operator, lodge owner, you name it. At the end of the day I am still a guide.

Being born in Wrangel, Alaska with a bush pilot father I have been able to make my life in Alaska’s outdoors my whole life.  I love hunting and flying most of all.   I have hunted and flown extensively over most of Alaska, the Seward Peninsula, Alaska Peninsula, Brooks Range, Alaska Range, Prince William Sound…

I love bear hunting.  Something about the big bears I really like.

Winters I spend my free time at my cabin south of Denali National Park riding snowmobiles in to the mountains.

I met Jeff more than 20 years ago when I ran the Jr. Iditarod sled dog race we have been friends ever since.  Rod and I are guiding buddies – need I say more.
